Prizren: "BalkanFEST - Kosovo" - Multiethnic Festival of Traditional Songs Held
A festival of traditional songs was held at the “Xhemajli Berisha” Cultural Center in Prizren, in front of several hundred visitors.
The festival was organized by the NGO "Plejada" with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and according to the president of this non-governmental organization Hermin Memisi, the goal was to promote the intangible cultural heritage of Kosovo.
"We wanted to show all the cultural richness of our songs with the most famous performers and traditional instruments. The concert aimed to promote and preserve the intangible cultural heritage, as well as to preserve traditional songs from oblivion," said the Festival director.
